Showcase your Quality Improvement work – be recognised and rewarded
Entries are now open for the 2015 Improvement Foundation Quality Improvement (QI) Awards. These awards provide the opportunity to showcase the commitment and results individuals make towards quality improvement work.
There are impressive stories of quality improvement work being undertaken within organisations which have transformed not only the organisation but also the lives of their patient’s. These awards provide a great opportunity for you to share your story and experience.
The awards are open to employees of the following organisations:
- General Practice
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
- Allied Health
- Primary Health Networks
Nominations must be from employees who have been involved in an Improvement Foundation program or activity and have implemented successful quality improvement activities within their workplace.
Full delegate registration to the Improving Healthcare International Convention, in Melbourne, on Monday 16 November to Wednesday 18 November 2015. The registration includes a ticket to official welcome reception and the gala dinner plus return economy airfares, two nights accommodation including breakfast, and transfers to and from hotel to the value of $4,500.
There are two categories which you can enter:
- Outstanding Achievement in Quality Improvement
Submission for this category should be from an individual who has been involved in a process or system change which used a quality improvement approach within a Primary Health Care Organisation to improve the workplace and/or patient’s experience.
- Outstanding Achievement in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health
Submission for this category should be from an individual who has been involved in a quality improvement process or system change within a Primary Health Care Organisation resulting in improved health outcomes for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients.
Award Judging Criteria
One Primary Health Care Organisation employee will be selected for each award category by a panel of judges who will assess the applications for evidence of planning, implementing, reviewing and improving change using a quality improvement approach.
Entries close on 8 October 2015. The winners will be contacted by 27 October 2015 and published in a special edition of the qiCommunity update, IF’s newsletter and on the IF website. If you have any queries about the awards please contact the Improvement Foundation via email at email@example.com.
