Following the successful delivery of the 2014 Australian Health and Fitness Quality Awards program, Fitness Australia continued to engage us to provide support and guidance on the development and implementation of their Quality Accreditation program.
Recognising the importance of quality improvement, the Quality Accreditation program replaces Fitness Australia’s Quality Awards. The new program focuses on embedding continuous quality service delivery and excellence across the sector. We have started working closely with Fitness Australia to help develop the program by:
- reviewing and consulting on the current quality framework
- developing quality improvement resources and activities
- collecting and uploading key indicators from a selection of businesses for industry benchmarking
The program aims to expand the influence and value of quality providers within the fitness industry. The transition to the Quality Accreditation program will occur in 2016. Quality indicators are currently being collected and tested to assess their effectiveness with supporting quality improvement initiatives and we will continue to work with Fitness Australia to see how these can add further value to the Quality Accreditation program. Fitness Australia is a peak not-for-profit health and fitness industry association which provides a range of support services and solutions to over 30,000 registered exercise professionals, fitness service providers and industry suppliers Australia-wide.
