We were commissioned by WorkSafe Victoria to develop a flexible orientation and training package, learning needs assessment and reference manual for their WorkHealth Improvement Network
The WIN is a WorkSafe Victoria initiative initially rolled out to manufacturing and hospital sectors with a focus on worker health and wellbeing, as well as on the job health and safety. By focussing on reducing the risk of injuries and illnesses, as well as optimising physical and mental wellbeing, the effects can have a positive impact not only on work life, but on home life too. The aims of the WIN quality improvement program are to:
- Make measureable, estimated improvements in risk control related to musculoskeletal disorders and mental wellbeing for manufacturing workplaces
- Improve health and safety culture at participating manufacturing and public hospital workplaces
- Develop new infrastructure and effective ways of working to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of WorkSafe Victoria.
Adaptable and Flexible
We developed an orientation and training package that was flexible for a variety of delivery modes. In particular, the quality improvement materials were tailored to meet the specific needs of the WIN program and the targeted industries, manufacturing and hospitals. Upon completion of the training materials, we conducted several training sessions for WorkSafe Victoria staff. The sessions provided them with the resources and knowledge needed to support the team with managing and implementing the WIN quality improvement program.
